Long Service Awards

Long Service will be recognised by the following awards:

After 20 Years Service

A choice of £250 in capital bonds or cash , pro rata for part time employees, with a commemorative letter signed by the Vice-Chancellor will be sent to the individual employee.

After 30 Years Service

A choice of £300 in capital bonds or cash, pro rata for part time employees, with a commemorative letter signed by the Vice-Chancellor will be sent to the individual employee.

After 35 Years Service

A choice of £350 in capital bonds or cash, pro rata for part time employees, with a commemorative letter signed by the Vice-Chancellor will be sent to the individual employee.

After 40 Years Service

A choice of £400 in capital bonds or cash, pro rata for part time employees, with a commemorative letter signed by the Vice-Chancellor will be sent to the individual employee.

Retirement with 20 Years Service

A cheque for £20 for every year of service with a commemorative letter signed by the Vice-Chancellor will be sent to the individual. The sums set out above are for employees who have worked in full-time service; the actual amounts will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked by the employee. When it is appropriate and when an individual receiving an award is in agreement, a presentation may be made before a group of colleagues.
