Things to See and Do

Eating Out

Although small for such a major tourist city, Bath has a truly cosmopolitan feel about it and is renowned for the range and quality of its restaurants, cafes and tea shops. So whether it's Indian or Italian, Thai or Mexican you're looking for, you'll find it within easy walking distance of the city centre.

Shopping

Set in a beautiful and compact city centre, there is a wonderful variety of independent and specialist shops, as well as the full range of major department stores. Within one square mile there are over 600 shops, so whatever you're after, you're sure to find it here.

Theatre, Film and Dance

The Theatre Royal is a major touring venue which regularly features famous actors and actresses and attracts leading ballet companies such as the London City Ballet. For smaller productions, you have the choice of three theatres including The Rondo Theatre and Ustinov Studio, which is the base for the Theatre Royal's Youth Theatre.

Sport and Leisure

If you enjoy watching rugby, you're sure to want to catch Bath Rugby Club play one of its home matches at the 'Rec' by Pulteney Bridge. Bath City Football Club - or perhaps a day at Bath Races - are alternatives for the sports enthusiast.
